My toddler loves a good tea-party especially with her Mozart CD playing in the background, real (cold) water in the tea pot, and little snacks on the side. I enjoy entering her fantasy world as it is a chance just to "be" and relax a bit (ask anyone... she's ALWAYS on the move). But, I am particularly glad I was at our "tea-party" today and here's why...
She prays at every meal-time, "Dear Jesus, Thank you for the food. Amen" (Which, I think is just great for a 2 and a half year old.) But, today at our little tea-party she wanted to pray of course... and I was expecting the usual prayer above. But... this time her prayer was a much longer prayer about many significant things. I was blown away! WOW! I love, Love, LOVE my daughter! She is an incredible gift from God! Thank you, Lord for that special moment at our "tea-party" today.
"'As for me, this is my covenant with them,' says the LORD. 'My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever,' says the LORD." - Isaiah 59:21 (NIV)
